Are you shopping for a new home and not sure if your credit score is good enough to qualify for a mortgage?   Don't throw in the towel just yet.  For most Americans, credit scores have been declining, but that does not mean you will not qualify for a mortgage.  It just means it may cost you a bit more.  Sure it best to try and improve your credit score prior to getting a mortgage loan, but there are lenders out there that are putting less emphasis on the credit score and relying more on the credit history.
